@artfaircheshire in aid of @eastcheshirehospice open until 3 October 10.30am-4pm so still a couple of days to get down there if you haven’t been already, there are many beautiful artworks to see.

Loved working with you @rainowanna and @sueroberts_art it was a delight and more than worth it to support such a wonderful cause. Massive thanks also to the huge team of volunteers from East Cheshire Hospice, it would not have been possible without you.

Sally, Ceramic Artist and Pottery Tutor, talks about how working with clay not only provides an opportunity to create something unique, the process also connects our mind and body. Clay changes with our touch and our breathing naturally slows to the gentle rhythm of shaping the clay. Sally discusses how this tactile experience calmly keeps us in the present moment, triggering parts of the brain that affect our wellbeing through the movement of our hands.

Welcoming Charlotte from @paragonpilatescheshire to the art space. 
As you know we have been running wellness workshops at the gallery for the past year. If you’ve been following us on here you may recognise Charlottle from teaching Pilates at the gallery. I am excited to announce that from September, we are going to be sharing the space.  Charlotte will run regular classes Monday-Thursday. The gallery will be open as usual Wednesday evening for Life Drawing and also Fridays and Saturdays.

Dates for your diary We have two special events planned to welcome Charlottte.  8 September, Paragon Pilates Opening Night. 7pm onwards. There will be drinks, nibbles, competitions and giveaways and of course lots of beautiful artwork on display in the gallery. Free event.   16 September, Wellness Day: including a full schedule of Pilates sessions and Art Talks. Free event.

Rachael’s practice involves working with Acrylic, oil and ink to create visually beautiful works full of mesmerising detail. Distinctive mark making in her paintings has been described as ‘visual sound’ due to it’s meditative and and rhythmic nature.

Zen Buddhism, Eastern philosophical thought and pioneering Abstract Expressionists have profoundly influenced Rachael’s style.

Summer Exhibition now showing. Wonderful evening last Thursday opening the show, thank you so much to everyone who showed up to support the gallery.

This week we are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am - 4pm so please do pop by if you are in the area to see the fantastic work in person.

Three artists from this show, Ahmed Elhassan, @traceyhollisrowe and @rachaeladdispaints will be talking on Thursday evening 27 July for an art talks and wine tasting evening @morgan_edwards_knutsford. Tickets are £27.50 and are available through Morgan Edward’s website, hope you can join us.
