Tia, originally from Northumberland, graduated Manchester School of Art with a BA (Hons) Fine Art in 2021.

With an emphasis on colour, Tia’s work explores the process of mark making as a form of catharsis. Her work encompasses interchangeable and multi-textual media, including paint, pencil and textile. Each piece draws together the various individual elements and media to create one entity.

Tia’s interest in spirituality directs her exploration of spiritual spaces and patterns, utilising varying materials and techniques to visualise patterns and spiritual symbols, situating her work within the context of geometric abstraction.
