About us
Art
Blue & Berry began as a traditional art gallery. We built a strong community and hosted some amazing events, which quickly earned us recognition and respect. However, we soon realised that the traditional model was not working for the very people it was set up to support — the artists — nor did it reflect our values. So, we began to restructure.
Blue & Berry Art, a Community Interest Company (CIC), is dedicated to creating a platform that puts artists first. We provide financial support through our CIC status, practical support through professional representation, and emotional support through the power of community.
We now represent artists as a whole — not just hand-selected individual pieces for specific exhibitions, but the full scope of their practice. Our focus is on understanding what each artist wants to build towards and putting a magnifying glass on their vision. This support is tailored on an individual basis, helping them grow their careers and reach a wider audience than they could alone. We believe we’re stronger together.
Community
We create relaxed and stimulating spaces for artists and art enthusiasts to connect, view, and create art. Our events are designed to encourage conversation, connection, and storytelling — all within a warm and inviting ambience. Whether you come alone or with family and friends, you’ll be made to feel welcome.
Our events offer a unique opportunity to meet the artists we represent, hear their stories, and experience their original artwork in person.
Wellness
Art contributes to our well-being in profound ways, affecting our minds, bodies and communities. So often art is seen as a luxury or an indulgence. We are here to show you how art can heal, how art is essential to our health and happiness and deserving of a seat at the table next to meditation, exercise, diet and sleep.
When we create, there is no hiding from ourselves. We are required to be vulnerable and confront ourselves and that is why art is so important and powerful. Art reveals all. Our light and our darkness. It’s also why so many of us hide from art. It can feel easier to hide but when we hide, we also hide from the best bits of life. When we make space for art and creativity, we also make space for ourselves to lead full, joyful, connected, purposeful lives. Lives where we feel we belong and lives we won’t one day regret.
CIC
A Community Interest Company (CIC) is a special type of UK limited company created for social enterprises that aim to make a positive impact on society. Unlike traditional businesses, a CIC exists primarily to benefit the community rather than to generate profits for shareholders. It offers the flexibility of a regular company while being legally bound to reinvest its profits into its social mission. This structure ensures transparency, accountability, and a clear commitment to public good—making it ideal for organisations that are driven by purpose as much as performance.
As a CIC, we ensure that over 50% of our profits benefit artists directly or are reinvested for their collective advantage.
