Peter Davis

Award-winning contemporary artist.

Peter Davis is a North West based artist whose urban landscapes and contemporary portraiture document modern life and society’s reliance upon technology. As a social realist painter, Peter seeks to create complex, multi-dimensional images of people going about their everyday lives with technology in hand.

In 2018, Peter exhibited a solo show at Warrington Museum & Art Gallery and his work has formed part of numerous exhibitions of contemporary figurative painting across the UK. Peter has twice been shortlisted for ‘Artist of the Year’ by Artists & Illustrators, the UK’s leading art magazine; he was runner up in the 2018 Greater Manchester Art Prize and a finalist at the international Aesthetica Art Prize. In 2017 Peter won first prize in the Three Counties Open and in 2020 he was selected for the John Moores Painting Prize at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool.
